Turn Upholstered Dining Chair Seats Into Wood!

First I want to say thank you for all your kind words.  I am grateful for all the comments of support and sympathy.  I was a little hesitant to post about my struggles with my 3 kiddos as I didn't want to come across whiny or ungrateful.  I do love my kids, they are a huge blessing in ours lives.....but....somedays are just a little more {or A LOT} more trying than others.

I have been so excited to show you my chairs!  Look at these nasty seat covers before, to give you an idea of how old they were, horse hair was used for the padding.

Originally I was going to make a patterned from these and upholster the seats again.  I was a little worried about upholstered chairs as I do have 3 young children but I couldn't think of a better idea .... until my husband suggested making wood tops instead.  Brilliant right??!!  The only problem was I had never done that before.....until now!

I am here.....

I am terribly sorry for my lack of posting lately.  I forgot how much work it is to have a baby, I swear I have never been this tired before in my life.  I had always heard people talk about 3 kids being trying, and of course I thought "we can do it no big deal."  Well after lots of tears and tireless nights I have finally admitted to myself, 3 kids is A LOT of work, more than I expected and planned for.

But.......

Even through all the hard times I wouldn't change having baby brother, his sweet little smile melts all the worries away.   I sure have enjoyed watching him grow, he is almost eight months old and he is starting to army crawl, his big sisters make sure he is very well taken care of.  So please excuse my lack of posting, I swear I am still here!

I am putting together a tutorial on how to convert upholstered dining chairs to hard wood......I am hoping to get it up this week!

I also have a few other projects in the works, they are coming along, just slower than usual!

oh and Happy late Valentines!!
